The Mangur tribe reside in the west of the city Mahabad, between piyranshar city, sardast city and qaladeze city. Until now there have been no accurate accounts of the population in this region. It has been estimated that the population is currently more than fifty thousand. We have an accurate history of the Mangur tribe’s history in various books for the past two hundred years. The information before this time we have no yet been able to access.
We welcome any information you wish to share. The people of this region have preserved their own culture and dialect. Linguists who have studied the origins of the language in this region, claim the Mangur dialect is one of the purest dialects of the Kurdish language.
